About our Council
The Council was founded in 1989 primarily through the efforts of the late John P. Clancy, who served as the first Grand Knight of the the council. It was originally named the St. Jude of Chalfont Council, but the name of the council was changed in honor of our past chaplain Father James W. Devlin, upon his untimely death in October of 1991. At the time, Father Jim was an assistant pastor for St. Jude parish, and had previously taught at Archbishop Wood High School for 18 years.

The Council works closely with the parish and Msgr. James McCoy (pastor), who replaced Father Devlin as the council chaplain. Fund raising activities are run periodically to fund the many charitable works of the council. For a general description of the Council's activities, click on the "Activities" link found on this page. Members of the Council, as active participants in the parish, also serve in various parish laymen capacities
