About Jerry

A couple of years ago I took my son on a fishing trip to Pine Creek.  We stayed at the Hotel Manor in late August, this is where he saw his first wild bear.  Well a lot has changed since the last time we were there.  They had a fire and the hotel burned to the ground.  The pictures above are the new hotel, each room has it's own bathroom, unlike the time my son and I stayed there, the 2nd floor shared two bathrooms.  The food was excellent and the fishing was awesome especially for an August week.

On the way to the Hotel Manor we stopped and saw a Little League game.  Nice place just to get out, grab lunch, see a game (maybe the next Derek Jeter) and take in the museum.

When we finally got on the water, for some reason all they would take was anything orange.  Well that afternoon while tying at the picnic table, a large stonefly landed next to our vises.  Well you would never guess the color of the underbody.  That is right orange.  So we tie up orange soft pillows and orange woolly worms and the trout and bass just hit our flies that day.

During the mid-day sun we rented inner tubes a floated the stream.  I'm sure this will be one fishing trip my son will never forget
